Blind Cat Experiences Beauty of Fall for the First Time in Heartwarming Video

Noey the blind cat experienced his first fall this year. The video quickly gained traction on Instagram as the adorable kitty navigated a whole new world. The feline was critically sick since 2023, hence he missed out on the fun. However, now he has plenty of time to explore with his forever family, stimulating his sense of touch, smell, and sound.

Fall is finally here and this kitty cannot get enough of it. On Sept. 29, 2023, an Ohio-based foster decided to give an all-white kitten a second chance at life. The tiny feline was extremely sick, with his eyes slowly turning cloudy. It was later discovered he had ocular FIP and the kind foster parent raised enough funds to pay for the treatment.

Noey was very young when he first came to the shelter with his mama and siblings. The entire family was suffering from upper respiratory infections and sadly, many of them perished. However, Noey did not only survive the ordeal but was adopted by a family as well. Unfortunately, they returned him after six weeks, citing “he wasn’t working out” as the reason, per an Instagram post.

The kitty’s eyes were inflated and purple, leading to the shelter suspecting animal abuse. However, they soon realized Noey was indeed sick and that is how he met his current family. The animal shelter contacted the Ohio-based foster parent, who goes by @fost.er_kittens on Instagram. The blind cat was a foster fail but is now enjoying the beauty of fall with his loving forever family.

This year is the first time Noey could enjoy the crisp air as the temperature starts dropping. The “pure white” kitty experiences changes in his surroundings through his sense of touch, smell, and sound.

As the cat is blind, his way of navigating the Fall season is different from other felines. He feels his next steps and utilizes his sense of smell to enjoy the changing seasons. Moreover, the cat parent noted in one of their videos that Noey loves jumping on crunchy leaves, most likely because the crunch stimulates the blind cat’s sense of sound.
