Georgia resident Kasara Morgan first encountered Scoot on Aug. 9. However, the feline was running on all fours and doing well overall. Unfortunately, the following day was a different story. She met the paralyzed kitten the next day while walking her dogs. Her canine companions directed her towards the bush where the kitten was hiding.

Morgan was determined to rescue Scoot when she saw her but soon realized the kitten couldn’t possibly run away from her. The little one’s hind legs were paralyzed, and all the kitty could manage was “scooting away” from her. When she took the feline for a medical examination, the vet determined the injury resulted from an individual stomping on her. It couldn’t be a dog bite as there were no bite marks. It also couldn’t be the kitten was run over by a car, as there were no broken bones.

The Georgia resident was heartbroken to learn of the little one’s horrifying ordeal. Thus, she took the kitty home and named her Scoot for her unique way of moving around. The tiny feline is Morgan’s first paralyzed animal companion, so she asked for guidance from the netizens in a video.

Everyone was more than happy to help her, donating and buying items on her wish list. Now, the paralyzed kitten has a wheelchair of her own that she used to take her very first steps. In the adorable video, Scoot tried out her wheelchair for the first time. While it might take her some time to get used to the new device, it brings much hope to the kitten and her owner for her quality of life in the future.
