Yoga For Adoptable Shelter Cats

Yoga at Connie’s brings you Yoga with Shelter Cats!

This is one of the innovative new ways of trying to find furever homes for the ever growing number of homeless cats in America. Yoga at Connie’s joined forces with Homeward Bound Pet Shelter in Decatur, Illinois to create the Yoga and Shelter Cat event. There was no charge for the yoga class, but donations for the shelter were happily accepted. This idea was conceived by Jeanette Skaluba. She is a volunteer at the shelter who also takes yoga classes at Connies.

Adopt-a-cat month is over but there is no end to the number of perfectly good, healthy, friendly, cudly cats still looking for homes. For years people have been coming up with new ways of getting homeless cats seen by a sympathetic public in an effort to increase their chances of finding a forever home. Cat Cafes are springing up all over, where you can drink coffee with shelter cats. Cat Libraries in certain work buildings have made it possible to ‘check out’ a cat or kitten, to bring to your desk for up to an hour with the option of adopting.
