Fur Laughs: Kitty Has Hilarious Way Of Knocking To Open The Door [VIDEO]

What’s a cat to do when confronted with a closed door? Well, they might do the same thing you do and knock, like the kitty in the video above. Except this cat has found a pretty funny way to do it!

We cat lovers have heard plenty of whines, meows, and scratches at closed doors in our houses, but the feline in the video has a pretty unique technique. It’s hard to ignore a knock like that!

If your cat keeps begging you to let them into a room, then let them out, then back in over and over again, they’re probably feeling a little bored and want a bit of attention or stimulation. So if your cat is knocking, try some of these exercises that will keep your indoor cat busy instead of begging you to be their personal door attendant!

Easy Ways To Exercise Indoor Cats

If you’re looking to entertain your indoor cat, prevent boredom, and reduce rambunctious behavior, give these exercise tips a try!

  • Treat Sprints: Find the longest stretch in your home and slide treats as far as you can along the floor. Do this one by one, shaking the bag between throws so your cat returns to you. This will maximize your cat’s running distance.
  • Meal Marathon: Most cats follow you around as you prepare their feast. Once you’ve placed food in the cat’s dish, walk around your abode with the bowl, enticing your cat to follow for a sneaky pre-dinner walk.
  • Change Their Toy Placement: If your feline loves a certain ball or toy, you can up their exercise by placing it on higher-up surfaces. The back of the couch, on the corner of a desk, or perched on a chair, for example, are all great spots.
  • Use The Cat Tree’s Levels: If you have a cat tree, you can exercise your feline by making them climb up and down as they chase their favorite toy. This works best with toys that you can dangle, like a Cat Dancer or a fishing pole-style toy.
  • Use Smart Furniture Hacks: Take a look at your furniture setup and see if you can move some items to create natural steps and levels that your cat can climb. An easy hack is to clear space on a bookcase or shelf to fashion a nook that your cat can check out.

Does your cat beg to go in and out of doors a lot? Do they have a funny way of gaining entry like the cat in the video? Then let us know in the comments below!
